SLLG Presents: Session Cases Bicentenary – In conversation with Lord Ericht

Thursday 14th October, 5.00pm to 6.00pm. Free, online.

The SLLG Committee and Advocates’ Library are delighted to announce the second event in our online lecture series which we hope will be of great interest to law librarians, legal professionals, law students and anyone with an interested in professional legal research.

Lord Ericht

On the occasion of Session Cases Bicentenary, Lord Ericht will give a seminar presentation on his experience with this legal publication where he was editor of between 2000 and 2016 before his appointment as a judge in the Supreme Courts.

Lord Ericht will discuss a variety of topics such as how the Session Cases came to be, the importance of this 200 year old publication, the editorial process behind it and other curiosities. There will also be a chance for Q&A at the end of the session.

This is a rare opportunity to get right to the heart of one of the most prestigious and important publications in the Scottish legal sector, which we’re sure will be of great interest to a wide audience. It’s an event not to be missed, and we’re bringing it to you as a free online event hosted on Zoom.

For registration information please visit our Eventbrite page. Please note that this event will not be recorded.

You asked, we listened! Following upon the feedback from the previous event, the room will be left open for networking and informal chat at the end of the Q&A. You can find out more about our previous events on the Events page of our website. For more information on this or any other of our events, please contact us by email: committee@sllg.org.uk.
